Will There Be a Zuckerberg/Musk Cage Match? – Watch

In a recent Twitter exchange, tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg seemingly agreed to a cage match fight.

Musk, who owns Twitter, responded to a tweet about Meta preparing to release a new Twitter rival called “Threads.” He took a shot saying the world was becoming “exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”

One Twitter user jokingly warned Musk of Zuckerberg’s jiu jitsu training, and Musk wrote back, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” He recently won a no-gi white belt, 149-pound division tournament in Silicon Valley. He also placed second in a gi category the same day, ESPN reported.

“Send me location,” Zuckerberg wrote on a Wednesday night Instagram story, which showed a screenshot of Musk’s tweet alongside another user’s response urging the Twitter owner to “start training.”

In response to Zuckerberg’s location request, Musk proposed the Vegas Octagon.

“I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” Musk wrote.

He also responded with a fire emoji when a user suggested UFC’s Joe Rogan could referee the contest.

It is unclear whether the two men are serious about fighting, but the exchange has generated a lot of interest on social media. Some people have expressed excitement at the prospect of seeing two of the world’s richest men fight, while others have dismissed it as a publicity stunt.

There is now an endless chain of memes and posts on social media platforms asking people to “choose your fighter.”

“The story speaks for itself,” a Meta spokesperson said in a statement to The Associated Press. Zuckerberg has not commented further.

Bids are already being placed for a projected winner. DraftKings’ projected odds stood at 140+ for Musk and -160 for Zuckerberg on Thursday.
