The Rolling Stones have announced their first album of new material in nearly 20 years. The album, titled “Hackney Diamonds,” is set to be released on September 14th.

More details about their upcoming album will reportedly be revealed during an event in East London’s Hackney district on Wednesday. “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon will interview Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood live in London about their project, the AP noted.
“Hackney may be at the heart of Hackney Diamonds, but this is a truly global moment we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube,” the Rolling Stones shared in a statement.
The album was recorded in London and features the band’s classic lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Steve Jordan. It also features guest appearances from Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Wonder.
“Hackney Diamonds” is a collection of 12 new songs that reflect the band’s ongoing creative energy and vitality. The songs range from blues-rock to soul to reggae, and they showcase the Stones’ ability to still write and perform great music after all these years.
The album is named after Hackney, a neighborhood in London that has been a longtime inspiration for the Stones. The band has recorded and performed in Hackney many times over the years, and they felt that it was the perfect place to record their new album.
