Is It ‘Dunkin’ or ‘Drunkin’? Look What’s Coming with Your Favorite Donuts – Watch

“America Runs on Dunkin'” may need to be replaced by “America Stumbles on Dunkin’.”

Dunkin’ is getting into the boozy beverage business. The chain announced on Monday that it will soon be launching a line of spiked coffee and tea drinks called Dunkin’ Spiked.

In the Spiked Ice Tea category, there will be four flavors, each at 5% alcohol by volume (ABV): Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, Half & Half Iced Tea, Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher and Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher.

Dunkin’ Spiked will come in four flavors: Original Iced Coffee, Caramel Iced Coffee, Mocha Iced Coffee, and Vanilla Iced Coffee. The coffees will be slightly more boozy than the teas, with a 6% alcohol by volume (ABV) content. The teas, meanwhile, will have an ABV of 5%.

The spiked coffees and teas will be available in 12-ounce cans, as well as in variety packs of four and six cans. They will be sold at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide.

“We knew we had the opportunity to create something special when we saw the positive response to our previous seasonal collaborations for Dunkin’-inspired beers. The growing appetite for adult beverages inspired us to put a twist on our customers’ favorite Dunkin’ Iced Coffee, Iced Tea and Refresher flavors,” said Brian Gilbert, vice president of retail business development at Dunkin’, in the release. “Dunkin’ Spiked is perfect for day or night enjoyment and comes in eight distinct flavors, available in grocery and package stores later this month. This new line of ready-to-drink adult beverages elevates Dunkin’s offerings, and we know our 21+ fans will love every sip.”

The launch of Dunkin’ Spiked is likely to be met with mixed reactions. Some people will be excited to try a boozy coffee from their favorite chain. Others may be concerned about the potential for underage drinking or impaired driving.
