Dolly Is Rocking Out with Iconic Legends – Take a Look

She’s not just a “little bit” country, she’s a country icon. And now she’s also “rock and roll.” At the age of 77, country music superstar, Dolly Parton, has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

When she was given the honor in November of last year, she promised that she would “rock out” on her next album. And now the promised record is in the works, and according to Parton, some rock legends are going to be involved.

“I reached out to a lot of the friends that were on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with me when we were there those few days rehearsing,” Parton said on the “Rachael Ray Show.”

Dolly has teased her fans with a name for the album, “Rock Star,” which may not seem out of line when we see the rock royalty that will be singing on it.

“I’ve got a lot of wonderful, iconic songs that people are gonna love, and a lot of wonderful, iconic singers joining me on them, like Elton John is on one of the songs he wrote,” Parton said.

She went on to describe that Paul McCartney will be singing with her on “Let It Be,” and she will duet with legends like John Fogerty and Stevie Nicks.

“Stevie Nicks and I just finished our song, and hopefully we’re going to have Cher and Annie Lennox. Got Joan Jett. We’ve got all kinds of wonderful people are going to be on the album,” Dolly said.

Dolly also appeared on “The View” and she dropped some amazing names there as well. She said she hopes to get Mick Jagger on the project, and even if she can’t, Parton said that she will be singing the Rolling Stones hit “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” without him.

If all those names are not enough pedigree, she also mentioned singing with Steve Perry from Journey and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.

Dolly believes that this album is some of the “best work I’ve ever done.”

We just can’t wait!
