Pop star Bebe Rexha was taken to the hospital on Saturday after a fan threw a phone at her face during a concert in New York City.
The incident occurred during Rexha’s performance at Pier 17 in Manhattan. Video footage shows a phone flying onto the stage and hitting Rexha in the face. She immediately recoiled in pain and brought her hands to her face.
Crew members rushed to Rexha’s aid and helped her off the stage. She was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The New York Police Department arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has been charged with assault.
Rexha took to social media on Sunday to update her fans on her condition. She posted a photo of herself with a bruised eye and bandages across her eyebrow. She said that she was “doing okay” and that she was “thankful for all the love and support.”
The incident has sparked outrage among fans and other celebrities. Many have expressed their support for Rexha and condemned the fan’s actions.

In 2017, a fan threw a water bottle at Justin Bieber during a concert in Manchester, England. The bottle hit Bieber in the head and caused him to bleed.
In 2018, a fan threw a shoe at Katy Perry during a concert in Las Vegas. The shoe hit Perry in the face and caused her to cut her lip.
