What Did Brad Pitt Say When Shania Twain Swapped Ryan Reynold’s Name for His? Watch

Brad Pitt often shares the limelight with other stars, as he did in the “Ocean” movies with Clooney and the gang. But recently he had to share top billing in one of Shania Twain’s biggest hits, the 1998 single “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”

The country singer performed her mega-song during a medley of her biggest hits at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards. She made a slight lyric change for the evening.

Instead of singing the famous line, “OK, so you’re Brad Pitt/That don’t impress me much,” Twain decided to swap Pitt’s name for Ryan Reynolds. He was at the ceremony to receive The People’s Icon Award.

When the camera focused on him after Twain sang his name, he smiled and seemed to mouth, “Me?” before he started laughing.

No one has known exactly how Pitt responded, until now.

Brad Pitt has been promoting his latest movie “Babylon,” and he was interviewed by the entertainment outlet The Movie Dweeb about the film.

Interviewer Daniel Merrifield complimented the movie and the music in it, but he then said it could have been better if it included “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”

He then asked Pitt about Twain’s People’s Choir Awards interaction with Ryan Reynolds.

“I want you to tell him how you think he stole your thunder,” Merrifield said.

Pitt replied, “He didn’t steal. I think we can share the wealth there.”

The 59-year-old actor added, “Ryan’s a good egg, too. He deserves some love.”

Pitt had some further Lyric suggestions for Shania to update the track for the future.

“I think they oughta pass it on down and next time she oughta sing it to Austin Butler,” he said. “Maybe Leo (DiCaprio) in between and then Austin Butler.”

I guess when you’ve reached the level both Pitt and Reynold have, there is a lot of generosity that can be given.
