Watch – Randy ‘Macho Man” Savage Sending a Needed Message from the Grave

Randy “Macho Man” Savage was a world champion professional wrestler who tragically died in 2011, but his spirit is still impacting people today. There was a clip found recently from an interview with Arsenio Hall that has gone viral on Twitter.

It quickly got over 23.5k likes at the time of writing. Many people also retweeted the clip commenting on how profound and beautiful Savage’s words were.

Arsenio asked the famous wrestler, “Do You Cry?”

Randall Mario Poffo was better known by his ring name “Macho Man” Randy Savage perfectly answered the question while maintaining his in-ring persona.

“It’s ok for macho men to show every emotion available,” Savage starts out. “I’ve cried a thousand times and I’m gonna’ cry some more.”

Macho Man then goes further to note that “there are no guarantees.” He then gives an inspiring message saying if you get knocked down, you should get back up, and fight again.

Savage is one of the most iconic and beloved wrestlers ever to grace the WWF and WCW. He was recognized for his flamboyant ring attire and larger-than-life personality. He always responded with his trademark “Oooh yeah!”.

Underneath all this, it could have been hard to remember that there was a human in there. For all his strength, Savage, like everyone else experienced mental health issues and problems in life.

Savage died in a car accident in 2011 at the age of 58. Fox News confirmed that the wrestling star “died after having a heart attack while driving his Jeep Wrangler” in the Tampa Bay area.

Savage had just celebrated his first wedding anniversary with his wife Lynn.

It’s interesting that so many years after his popularity and death, these words would have so much of an impact today. Maybe permission to cry is something we need right now.
