Watch – Culinary Dynamic Duo Sets Fast-Food Guinness World Record

They are already viral sensations, but this should send them to the stratosphere. On August 20th, chefs and social media stars Nick DiGiovanni and Lynn Davis appeared in a video documenting their attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most fast food restaurants visited in 24 hours.
DiGiovanni is a former “MasterChef” finalist and he already had 6.4 million YouTube subscribers and 9.1 million followers on TikTok. Davis hosts the multi-platform culinary show “Cooking with Lynja.” She has 3.88 million subscribers and 12 million followers on TikTok.
The dynamic duo already have some world records under their belts like the world’s largest cake pop, which ended up weighing over 97 pounds, and the world’s largest chicken nugget, which weighed over 46 pounds.
The previous record for most fast food restaurants visited in a day was set at 50.
There were some rules they had to follow to get the record according to Guinness World Record officials. They had to travel together at all times, and one food or drink item had to be purchased and consumed at each location. And the GPS coordinates for each location had to be submitted for everything to be verified.
DiGiovanni and Davis hit the record in Manhattan, starting at a Mcdonald’s in Times Square. They shared a McGriddle. They were allowed to share the items they bought with other people, they did not have to be the ones consuming each item.
The event took just over 7 hours to complete, according to Guinness World Record officials. The trek was approximately 8 miles all on foot, so the two at least worked off some of the calories they consumed that day.
No rules were broken on their excursion, but there was a broken elevator at one point in the middle of the video between locations 40 (an Au Bon Pain) and 41 (a McDonald’s).
At the end of the day, DiGiovanni and Davis hit up 69 separate locations, moving from more well-known fast food joints like Burger King and Dunkin’ to deep fast-food cuts like Mooyah, Chop’t, and Paris Baguette.
The last stop was Carvel. DiGiovanni is lactose intolerant, so he let Davis enjoy the frozen treat.
There were tired when the Guinness official, but they looked at the camera catching their world record and asked their fans what they should do next.
We’ll have to wait and see!
