Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s Mom, Connie, Speaks Out – Watch

Six months after the death of Stephen “tWitch” Boss by suicide, his mother, Connie Alexander Boss, is opening up about her son’s final moments and how she is coping with his loss.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Alexander Boss said that she last spoke to her son on the phone the day before he died. He had been texting her throughout the day to check on her, as she had been feeling sick.

“I’d been sick, so he texted to ask how I was feeling,” the city supervisor, who lives in Phoenix, told People in an interview published June 28. “That was the last time we talked. To the extent that Stephen may have been in a Black depression — no, not Stephen. He was so in tune with analyzing and trying to make himself better, reading self-help books, so this came as a complete shock.”

“He started that last text with, ‘I love you, Mom,'” Alexander Boss said. “And I responded, ‘I love you more.'”

Those were the last words she would ever hear from her son. The next day, she received a call from her daughter-in-law, Allison Holker, telling her that Stephen had died.

“It was a complete shock,” Alexander Boss said. “I never would have thought that he would take his own life.”

Stephen Boss was a well-known dancer, choreographer, and DJ. He was a judge on the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” and the DJ and executive producer of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. He was also a husband and father of three.

His death was a shock to his family, friends, and fans. Alexander Boss said that she is still struggling to come to terms with his loss.

“I miss him every day,” she said. “But I know that he is in a better place now.”

Alexander Boss is sharing her story in the hope that it will help others who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. She said that she wants people to know that there is help available and that they are not alone.
