Simone Biles is likely the greatest gymnast in the history of the United States gymnastics program. And although she has not yet announced her wedding date, it can not be too far away.
The bride-to-be just had her bachelorette bash, and it sure did look like a good time was had by all.
The 25-year-old gymnastics icon will soon walk down the aisle and say “I do” to NFL safety Jonathan Owens.
Biles filled her Instagram account with pictures for her fans of the engagement as well as a peek at the destination celebration with her bridesmaids.
In one of her posts, she even borrowed the name of a “Friends” episode for her caption: “The one where I’m the bride.” It was followed by celebratory emojis.
The picture shows Biles with a big smile and dressed in white jeans with a “Bride and Boujee” T-shirt. She was kneeling on the bed in her resort suite and was surrounded by evidence of the big event.
At the head of the bed were large gold balloons that spelled out “bride.” There was a sash near the foot of the bed that read, “Future Mrs. Owens.”
In between, it all were some treats and totes that included a Chanel gift bag that contained a Chanel handbag courtesy of the groom-to-be.
Simone and her friends looked ready for their destination celebration in Belize. This is a favorite location for Biles, she is a dual citizen in the U.S. and Belize.
In every picture and video, Simone is just beaming. One picture showed all of her girls holding their passports out in a circle. Another showed Biles in her airplane seat.
Biles posed for another shot after arriving at their resort, she wrote in the caption, “let the bachelorette commence.”
In her engagement photo, she wrote this caption: “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more!” she added. “let’s get married FIANCÉ.”
