Nick Cannon Talks About How His 12-Year-Old Twins with Mariah Feel About 10 Siblings

Nick Cannon has been open about his family life, and in a recent interview, he revealed how his twins with Mariah Carey feel about his many other children.

“At this point, they enjoy it,” Cannon said on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. “They have fun and they’re the oldest.”

“But who knows where that will go when 16 hits?” Cannon, 42, continued. “I’m just trying to pay close attention to it and be as honest (with them).”

“This is my first time having 12-year-olds and I have a set of them,” he explained. “Now we’re having real conversations and, you know, their life is far from normal because their mom is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live and their dad is me.”

Cannon has seven other children with five different women. He and Carey were married from 2008 to 2016 and share 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Cannon said that his twins are aware of their siblings and that they “have challenging conversations sometimes.”

“They’re so intelligent, they’re so in tune, they’re so in line with their own values,” he said.

Cannon said that he is open with his children about his past mistakes and that he wants them to learn from them.

“I’m so open to any of your mistakes,” he said. “You’re gonna live life better than I did.”

Cannon’s parenting style has been criticized by some, but he says that he is doing his best to raise his children in a loving and supportive environment.

“I think I’m a man of abundance,” he said. “Everything is challenging, but the fact that I get to see all my children in one day, and get to see them each and every day when I’m in town, even when I’m not in town, I take them with me. I love the challenge.”
