Kate Middleton Makes Rare Comments About Princess Diana

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has said that her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, would have been a “brilliant” grandmother.

The duchess made the comments during a visit to Wales on Thursday, April 28. She was speaking to a group of women who had been affected by domestic violence.

“I never, sadly, got to meet her,” Kate said of Diana. “But I know that she would have been a brilliant grandmother.”

The duchess said that she often thinks about how Diana would have been as a grandmother. She said that she believes Diana would have been “fun” and “loving.”

The duchess’s comments come as the royal family prepares to mark the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death. Diana died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997. She was 36 years old.

Diana was a beloved figure in the United Kingdom and around the world. She was known for her work with charities and her commitment to helping others.

Kate’s comments are a touching tribute to Diana’s memory. They also offer a glimpse into how the duchess sees herself as a grandmother.

Kate is a doting mother to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She is often seen playing with her children and taking them on outings.

Kate inherited her mother-in-law’s title, Princess of Wales, after Queen Elizabeth II died. In his first official remarks following the queen’s death, Prince Charles III unveiled the new titles.

“With Catherine beside him, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring the marginal to the centre ground where vital help can be given,” he said in the Sept. 9 televised address.

A palace spokesperson said Kate “appreciates the history associated with this role” but would “understandably want to look to the future as she creates her own path.”
