Jon Gosselin, famous for “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” is celebrating a major milestone today: his sextuplets are turning 19 years old!
The former reality star took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for his children, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden, and Collin.
“Happy 19th birthday to my amazing sextuplets!” Gosselin wrote. “I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by. You are all so smart, funny, and kind. I am so proud of the young adults you have become. I love you all so much!”
Gosselin and his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, welcomed their sextuplets in 2004. The couple also has two twin daughters, Cara and Mady, who are 22 years old.
The Gosselins became popular across America when their reality TV show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” premiered in 2007. The show followed the family through the ups and downs of parenting eight children. The show eventually became “Kate Plus 8,” which aired until 2017, after the couple divorced.
The Gosselins’ marriage ended in 2009, and the two have been embroiled in a custody battle ever since. Jon Gosselin has been granted primary custody of his son, Collin, while Kate Gosselin has primary custody of the other five children.
Collin Gosselin opened up about their family dynamic in an interview with ET in November.
“I have not spoken with my siblings in probably five or six years now,” he said at the time. “It’s tough.”
He added he would love to one day be close with his siblings again, though none of them have reached out to each other.
“I would love for us to come together one day, have dinner together, talk, just have a relationship and catch up on the things that we lost, the time that we lost,” he said.
On their 19th birthday, Jon Gosselin is sending a clear message to his children: he loves them very much, and he is proud of the young adults they have become.
