God’s Using Damar Hamlin In a ‘Different Way’ – Watch

What a great day Sunday was for Damar Hamlin, the NFL, and all of America. The recovering Buffalo Bills safety shared a game-day message for his team, and they got it just hours before they played and won against the New England Patriots.

Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after a tackle during last Monday’s game at the Cincinnati Bengals. His near-death experience scared players, fans, broadcasters, and the national audience. First responders performed CPR saving Hamlin’s life on the field before he was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

But by Sunday, Hamlin had made remarkable progress — and he was tweeting messages to his teammates.

The Buffalo Bills shared a video of quarterback Josh Allen sporting Hamlin’s number on a blue baseball cap and a white sweatshirt.

“That’s my quarterback,” Hamlin tweeted, sharing the video. He also shared that he wanted nothing more than to be out on the fired with his team for the game.

“GameDay. Nothing I Want More Than To Be Running Out That Tunnel With My Brothers. s  Today. Tell Someone You Love Them Today! Let’s go @BuffaloBills,” he captioned the video.

God is using him differently, as a rallying point for people and prayer all across the nation.

On Saturday afternoon, when the Bills would usually release a hype video before their game, they chose instead to post a Damar Hamlin hype video. “Sending all our love to you,” the caption read.

Players all across the league ditched their numbers to wear a number three in Hamlin’s honor. Before Saturday’s game between the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, both teams gathered on the field for a moment of prayer.

Hamlin’s contract had a clause that would lower his pay if he was put on the injured reserve list, but Bill’s organization vowed to continue paying him his full amount.

This story continues to be bigger than football.
