Bob Saget’s Widow Bares Her Soul – Watch

The late Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, bared her soul on social media this week about her first Christmas with her husband.

“I’m just so grateful that I got to have that incredible man in my life and that I got to be in his for 6 years,” Rizzo wrote on Instagram on Christmas Eve. “There’s no greater Christmas present than that.”

Last Christmas was the first time Saget traveled to Rizzo’s hometown for Christmas, and she had no idea that it would be their last together. They were together with her family and stepdaughter, Lara.

Saget left an impression on the family, especially Rizzo’s two-year-old niece, Alex. The toddler still remembers her “Uncle Bob,” and talks about him frequently. Rizzo said that Bob did that with everyone he met.

She wrote, “The holidays are a time for hope, love, and togetherness. I pray that if you’re missing a loved one this holiday season, that you’re blessed with many deep and loving memories and gratitude that will help carry you through.”

She went on to thank the people who surrounded her this last year with love, support, and kindness. She said it means more than they will ever know and that she hopes to be able to show how thankful she is and be able to give it back to them over time.

Rizzo also talked about her vulnerability in her grief and how she has mourned her husband in the last year. On January 9th, it will be the first anniversary of Bob Saget’s death from a fall at the age of 65. Since his death, the beloved actor and star of TV’s “Full House,” has been honored with a number of awards including the Critics Choice Real TV Impact Award. Rizzo accepted this on his behalf in June.

Our prayers continue to be lifted up for Kelly and her whole family.
