Israel’s fury toward Hamas has reached new heights after the terrorist group staged a grotesque spectacle, parading the coffins of four hostages through the streets of Gaza before handing them over to the Red Cross.
Among the victims were 4-year-old Ariel Bibas, his infant brother Kfir, their mother Shiri, and 85-year-old Oded Lifshitz. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with a vow to eradicate Hamas, declaring, “We will return all our hostages, destroy the murderers, eliminate Hamas, and together—with God’s help—we will secure our future.”
The parade, which took place in Khan Yunis, was met with global outrage. Hamas supporters sat in rows of chairs, watching as militants carried the black-draped coffins through the crowd.
Posters featuring Netanyahu as a bloodthirsty vampire were prominently displayed, further underscoring the group’s grotesque and inhumane propaganda.
The United Nations condemned the event, calling it a blatant violation of international law. “The parading of bodies in Gaza is abhorrent and cruel and flies in the face of international law,” said UN human rights chief Volker Turk.
Israel had serious concerns that the coffins were booby-trapped, as Hamas locked them without providing keys. Military engineers carefully examined the caskets before transferring them to the Abu Kabir forensic institute in Tel Aviv for identification. Israeli officials emphasized that the process would be carried out with “utmost compassion towards the families.”
The horror of this moment is not lost on Israel’s allies. The UK-based group North West Friends of Israel condemned Hamas for its barbarism, stating, “Jew-hating terrorists of Hamas are making a disgusting spectacle of handing over the bodies of baby children and plastering their coffins with Islamist propaganda.”
Hamas’ actions were not only cruel but also a calculated attempt to demoralize and provoke. But if history has shown anything, it is that such acts will only strengthen Israel’s resolve.
Netanyahu’s response signals that Israel remains committed to eliminating the threat posed by Hamas and securing its future—no matter the cost.
