President Donald Trump has roared back into the Oval Office like a whirlwind, leaving a trail of executive actions that, as Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld put it, represent more accomplishments in 24 hours than Joe Biden managed during his entire presidency. And you can always tell how effective Trump is by the sheer volume of outrage pouring in from the Democrats. Among those leading the charge? None other than newly minted Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), who wasted no time lobbing absurd accusations at Trump’s administration.
Schiff, known for his theatrical antics during the Trump impeachments, took to the airwaves to claim that Trump’s recent executive actions would somehow lead to “more wildfires and floods.” It’s a laughable argument, especially when you consider California’s ongoing wildfire crisis—a problem exacerbated not by federal policies, but by decades of Democratic mismanagement. Under Democratic leadership, California has allowed its wildfire prevention efforts to languish, with bureaucratic red tape and environmental extremism standing in the way of common-sense measures like brush clearing and reservoir maintenance. Trump, by contrast, has long advocated for preventative actions to mitigate wildfires, including clearing brush and addressing water mismanagement. Schiff’s comments look less like a policy critique and more like a desperate attempt to deflect from his party’s glaring failures.
After @RedState‘s Nick Arama pointed it out, @realDonaldTrump wants to know what’s up with Adam Schiff’s face.

And while Schiff’s rhetoric was the talk of social media, so was his appearance. Viewers couldn’t help but notice something off about the senator in recent videos, prompting questions about what might be going on. Schiff claimed he had “banged [his] head,” calling the injury “really dumb, clumsy.” But it wasn’t just his forehead that had people scratching their heads—his cheeks also appeared, well, unusual. The incident became yet another moment of online speculation surrounding one of Washington’s most divisive figures.
In true Trump fashion, the president didn’t let Schiff’s comments slide. During the signing of his latest round of executive actions, Trump took a moment to call out the California senator in a biting aside. Reflecting on his prior disdain for real estate developers, Trump quipped, “I used to say real estate developers were probably worse than politicians, but after three months of getting to know scum like Adam Schiff, I changed my mind.” Classic Trump—unvarnished and unapologetic.
🚨BY THE NUMBERS: President Trump’s HISTORIC first day:
-42 Executive Orders/Memoranda/Proclamations
-115 personnel actions
-More than 200 executive actions
-60 minutes of press Q&A
-3 historic speeches… with more to come at tonight’s balls!— Karoline Leavitt (@PressSec) January 21, 2025
Schiff’s name has come up frequently in recent weeks, particularly in connection to the controversial last-minute pardons issued by former President Joe Biden as he left office. Biden’s sweeping clemency list included not only members of his family but also key figures from the January 6 Committee, Schiff among them. The irony here is rich. Back in 2020, Schiff went after Trump with baseless accusations that he might pardon his family members. Yet, as usual, the Democrats’ accusations were a projection of their own behavior. While Trump refrained from handing out politically motivated preemptive pardons, Biden gave out free passes to his own circle—including Schiff, whose involvement in the January 6 witch hunt has left a bitter taste for many Americans.
This is par for the course with Democrats, the self-appointed guardians of “norms” and “standards.” They’re quick to wag their fingers at Republicans but have no problem bending or outright breaking those same norms when it suits their agenda. Schiff, in particular, has long been a symbol of this hypocrisy—a man who once promised “evidence” of Russian collusion that never existed, and who now feigns outrage at Trump’s policies while carrying the baggage of his own party’s failures.
