Tim Tebow Joins Massive Effort To Get Critical Bill Passed In Congress

Tim Tebow is once again using his influence for a cause close to his heart, joining a bipartisan group of lawmakers to intensify efforts against child exploitation. The former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner has thrown his support behind the Renewed Hope Act of 2024, a bill that aims to bolster the fight against online child sexual exploitation.

Appearing on *Fox & Friends*, Tebow stressed the urgency of the issue. “We have to build an army and equip and train them to go after and rescue these boys and girls,” he said. “Everybody needs to be a part of the solution.” Tebow’s message was clear: this isn’t just a policy discussion—it’s about saving real lives and protecting the next generation from unimaginable harm.

Tebow’s involvement with the legislation follows his passionate testimony before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this year, where he emphasized the need for greater action. On Tuesday, standing alongside Senators John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), as well as Representatives Laurel Lee (R-Fla.) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), Tebow announced the Renewed Hope Act outside the U.S. Capitol.

This bipartisan effort seeks to enhance the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s ability to identify, rescue, and protect victims of online child exploitation while ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.

The scale of the problem is staggering. In 2023 alone, there were 36.2 million reports of suspected child exploitation online, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. More than half of these victims were between the ages of 12 and 15, a sobering statistic that underscores the need for urgent intervention.

Tebow’s foundation has long been at the forefront of the fight against child exploitation, partnering with Homeland Security Investigations to rescue victims of abuse. His dedication to this mission is unwavering. “This isn’t just about policies or procedures. This is about people,” Tebow emphasized. “This is a chance we really get to make an impact.”

The Renewed Hope Act is a critical step forward in addressing a growing crisis. By equipping law enforcement with the tools and resources they need to combat online predators, the bill aims to create a safer digital landscape for children. Tebow’s involvement highlights how public figures can play a pivotal role in advocating for change, bringing attention to issues that demand action.

Tebow’s work with lawmakers demonstrates that this isn’t just about passing legislation—it’s about rallying a nation to protect its most vulnerable. His call to build an “army” of people dedicated to rescuing children reflects the larger goal of the Renewed Hope Act: to ensure that no child falls victim to exploitation without a fight.

As Tebow put it, this is about the future. “The next generation of boys and girls” depend on these efforts, and with the introduction of the Renewed Hope Act, there’s hope that more lives will be saved.
