TikTok Star May Face Charges After Toddler Son Drowned In Their Pool

The tragic drowning of three-year-old Trigg Kiser, son of TikTok personality Emilie Kiser, has taken a legal turn, with authorities now recommending felony child abuse charges against her husband, Brady Kiser.

The incident occurred on May 18 in Chandler, Arizona, when Trigg was found unresponsive in the family’s backyard pool. Emilie, a 26-year-old influencer with over four million followers, was not home at the time. Brady was alone with Trigg and their newborn, Theodore, when the toddler drowned.

According to police, Brady told investigators that Trigg had been near the pool, which was “not uncommon”, and that the pool typically had a safety cover. While tending to the infant inside, Brady lost sight of Trigg for approximately three to five minutes. When he returned, he found Trigg floating in the water.

Chandler police confirmed Thursday that the case has been submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether to proceed with criminal charges. A police statement read:

“After a thorough review of the evidence, we have submitted the case… for further review and any potential prosecutorial decisions.”

The Kiser family has remained silent publicly, communicating only through court filings. Emilie filed a lawsuit seeking to block public access to records related to Trigg’s death, citing emotional harm and an invasion of privacy. The suit claims the case has turned into a “media frenzy,” with over 100 public records requests filed with local agencies, including the medical examiner’s office.

In the filing, Emilie’s attorneys argue the release of graphic details serves no public interest and would only inflict further emotional distress:

“To allow disclosure in these circumstances would be to turn Arizona’s Public Records Law into a weapon of emotional harm, rather than a tool of government transparency.”

The Kisers first became parents in July 2021 with Trigg’s birth. In March 2025, they welcomed their second son, Theodore. Emilie had publicly shared her pregnancy and motherhood journey online, frequently posting emotional updates and milestones.
