Los Angeles Man Creates Magic for 100-Year-Old Veteran

Isaiah Garza is on a mission. He knows what it is to live in poverty, he was in and out of homelessness while growing up.

Now he is a Los Angeles-based designer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and public speaker. One of his deep desires is to make life better for others and inspire the future generation.

He hit the big time when Rihanna was photographed wearing one of his jewelry designs on the cover of a French magazine. This has enabled Garza to fulfill one of his dreams, spending a chunk of his money and time making people’s lives better with simple kindness.

Garza recently invited a 100-year-old veteran he happened upon one day to spend that day in Disneyland with him. The man uses a walker and is 100 years old, but that didn’t stop Garza.

A video of this duo starts with him approaching the gentleman while he is out for a walk.

“I’m sorry to bother you,” Garza says, “but I’ve had a really rough day. I just wanted to see if you would be willing to go to Disneyland with me today?”

The man was surprised but said yes. And what followed was pure joy and a little Disney magic. There doesn’t seem to be an age limit on either of those two things.

The man tells Garza, “I thought my life was over,” it’s clear how much this day meant to him.

Not many people see an old man with a walker and think, “I bet he’d like to go spend a day at Disneyland,” but not many people have the heart that Garza has.

I wonder what would happen if each of us followed suit? What if we reached out to the elderly neighbor and asked them to do something fun with us?

There’s no way not to enjoy this video of a magic day.
