Well, folks, the swamp isn’t going to drain itself—especially when you’ve got activist judges throwing up roadblocks at every turn.
Late Thursday, Judge Amir Ali, a Biden-appointed federal judge in Washington, issued an order forcing the Trump administration to lift its three-week freeze on U.S. foreign aid. In doing so, Ali has single-handedly kept the global money faucet wide open, ensuring that billions in taxpayer dollars continue flowing out of the country—with zero accountability.
Before we even get into the ruling itself, let’s talk about the man behind the gavel.
Ali was one of Biden’s last judicial nominees, confirmed just two weeks after Trump was elected in a razor-thin 50-48 Senate vote—one that wouldn’t have even happened if all Republican senators had bothered to show up. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) didn’t hold back when he pointed out that had Republicans been present and accounted for, Ali wouldn’t have been on the bench at all.
And let’s not ignore Ali’s history. Raised in Canada by Egyptian parents, he’s made no secret of his grievances with U.S. immigration policies—especially after 9/11. In past interviews, he’s talked at length about how he was held for secondary screenings at airports, something he called “undignified.” Well, I hate to break it to him, but the U.S. was just attacked by terrorists when this was happening. Maybe there was a good reason for extra screening.
But here’s the key part: Ali has dedicated his legal career to fighting “systems of law and discretion” that he believes unfairly target minorities. In other words, he’s not just a judge—he’s an activist with a robe and a lifetime appointment.
Now, onto the actual ruling. The Trump administration’s decision to pause all USAID funding isn’t some random act of cruelty, as the left would love you to believe. The move was meant to review thousands of programs—to figure out which ones actually serve U.S. interests and which ones are just massive money pits benefiting foreign bureaucracies and corrupt NGOs.
But according to Judge Ali, that’s just not good enough.
“Defendants have not offered any explanation for why a blanket suspension of all congressionally appropriated foreign aid… was a rational precursor to reviewing programs.”
Really? Because to most Americans, it seems perfectly rational to pause taxpayer-funded aid before blindly sending more money overseas. In fact, it would be insane NOT to.
And let’s not forget who’s in charge of this effort: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has already signaled that USAID might be abolished altogether. Rubio, who has seen firsthand how foreign aid is abused, understands that U.S. dollars should be working for U.S. interests—not funding wasteful, ineffective, or outright corrupt projects in other countries.
Here’s what the left and Judge Ali won’t tell you: While Democrats are crying over international aid, they were completely silent when Americans affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina were left without support for months under Biden’s FEMA.
- Where was the outcry then?
- Where were the lawsuits forcing Biden to prioritize American citizens?
- Where was Judge Ali when real Americans needed real help?
Nowhere. Because their priority has never been American taxpayers—it’s always been about keeping the globalist gravy train rolling.
