Kid Rock and Eminem, two of Detroit’s most famous music icons, may be polar opposites politically, but their shared love for the Detroit Lions seems to have bridged that divide.
On Sunday, as the Lions steamrolled the Tennessee Titans 52-17, the unlikely duo took to social media to celebrate Detroit’s dominance. “Here’s one thing @KidRock and I do agree on… GO @Lions!!!! Appreciate you, Bob,” Eminem posted on X, tagging his fellow rapper and fellow Lions fan.
Kid Rock responded in kind, showing that even rival beliefs can take a backseat to Detroit pride. “Thanks @Eminem – Who would of thought it would be 2 white rappers from Detroit / Michigan to show our divided country what class is and how it should be done! Appreciate ya too, Marshall!” Kid Rock replied.

This season, the Lions are giving fans like Kid Rock and Eminem plenty to cheer about. Detroit’s victory on Sunday extended their record to 6-1, positioning them firmly at the top of the NFC North and boasting the best seven-game record for the franchise since 1956.
Head coach Dan Campbell summed up the team’s mindset, saying, “That’s what champions do. When you come out, you don’t care what time of day it is, what the records are, what the surface is, you come out and handle your business, and we did that.”
The Lions’ electric offense has been on display all season, with Sunday marking the third time they’ve scored 40 or more points. Their success is turning doubters into believers, as fans across the country witness a long-awaited Lions resurgence.
The shared Lions pride between Kid Rock and Eminem may be just what Detroit needs to remind the country that even in a divided world, some things can bring us together.
